Two people, trapped in the routine of their everyday lives, perform the same meaningless tasks while sitting at their desk. Like Sisyphus, they labour through the same sequences of dull movements incessantly. Inside this hamster wheel, music breaks through the monotony of repetition as salvation and counterweight to the omnipotence of everyday life. As the relationship between the two individuals unfolds, the disruptive power of music clashes with their vow to conformity and corporate alignment. A soprano and a counter-tenor "narrate" this attempted escape.

Die Performance

Zwei Menschen, gefangen in der Routine ihres Alltags, führen auf ihren Plätzen sitzend die gleichen sinnlosen Bewegungen aus. Sie arbeiten sich einem Sisyphus gleich an einer Abfolge scheinbar sinnentleerter und stumpfer Bewegungsabläufe ab. In diesem Dasein im Hamsterrad durchbricht die Musik als Erlösung und Gegengewicht die Allmacht des Alltags.

Eine Sopranistin und ein Counter-Tenor wagen diesen Versuch einer Revolte.

Forschungsansatz: In der Performance werden die Korrelation von Gesang und Bewegung sowie das performative Potential der Barockmusik erforscht.
